Drug Detox is most effective when done in alcohol treatment or drug detox rehab centers under the supervision of a doctor. Drug detox is the process of monitoring and administering medical care to a patient experiencing drug detox or alcohol treatment symptoms. These symptoms may vary depending on the individual. We strive to make drug detox or alcohol treatment as pleasant an experience as possible for our rehab centers clients. Drug detox patients are brought down slowly and gently and are medically monitored throughout the drug detox or alcohol treatment process. Daily needs of drug detox patients are attended to and our rehab centers medical staff monitors vital signs and symptoms. Drug detox placement or admission to drug detox is determined during the assessment process and the drug detox protocol specifically determined for each patient accordingly. Alcohol treatment Medical staff administers medications and other medical/nursing care for the patient who is in need of inpatient alcohol treatment or drug detox. Our drug detox process is designed for the rehab centers patient who is free from the acute withdrawal symptoms but may continue to need ongoing medical monitoring under the care of the medical director, staff psychiatrist and nurse. This includes medication protocol to counteract the uncomfortable symptoms of the drug detox process.

Medications are generally prescribed at this time. There are several reasons for this. First of all, this procedure without medical monitoring can be dangerous. Daily use causes physical dependence. Persons that are physically dependent must drink daily in order to ward off withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms include seizure, vomiting, hallucinations, high blood pressure, and anxiety.
